Yes, absolutely. From our launch point in Hervey Bay it can be as little as 20 mins to Moon Point. Depending where on the Island you would like to visit would determine which boat would be recommended. 

The runabout is great for around the local area and Islands but up to about Arch Cliff tends to be the northern limit as it becomes a long trip in the small vessel.

For daytrips to Platypus Bay, Wathumba Creek or Rooney Point the bigger boats are much better suited. 

Our vessels are not to be used on the eastern side of the Island as there is no safe havens for launching or retrieval.

Yes, fuel is an additional cost, like a rental car, fuel is payed based on how much you use, which depends on how far you travel/ the speed you travel.

This is charged as a separate fee upon return of the vessel and is the pump price on the day if you are using our walk on walk off service. If you have towed the vessel away and returned it empty you will be charged the fuel cost at $2.50/L

Absolutely, we constantly have multi day bookings for groups camping over on the Island at Wathumba, Awinya or Coongual Creeks. Those staying and fishing the Burrum River or tow away to Lake Monduran or Baffle Creek.

Yes, each boat has a maximum capacity for safety reasons. Please refer to the boat descriptions on our website for more information on capacity. Under AMSA regulations each person over the age of 12 months is classified as 1 person

Each boat is supplied with all the required safety gear for the area of operation (ie Flares Lifejackets, EPIRB and VHF Radio). All are fitted with Garmin Sounders/ chart plotters with maps for easy navigation. A Esky, bait board and Landing net is in each boat for your use.

No. We can take care of all that work for you, this is our walk on walk off service. Before your hire we will be in contact to arrange a meeting time, we will then have the boat waiting for you at the ramp or pontoon that you wish to depart from, our main ramp is Urangan however we can arrange drop offs at Point Vernon, River Heads or Burrum Heads (additional fees may apply)

Alternatively if you would like to take the vessel elsewhere the boats can be hired with a trailer as well, these tend to be the multi day hires. We have had the boats taken to Gladestone, Byfield, Yeppoon, Lake Monduran and Paradise Dam.
